Spring Show Series
We're excited to be running the canterbury spring show series for the the fourth time!Participating A&P Shows
Ellesmere A&P, Northern A&P, Ashburton A&P and the Canterbury A&P Show
Closing date for entries - to be advised
WINNERS will be presented at the Canterbury A&P Show.
Points are accumulated from wins/placings across all four shows.

Run over the Ellesmere/Northern/Ashburton/Canterbury Agricultural shows. Calculated on a points based system.
Six (6) Titles are up for grabs: Hunter Jumping Horse; Hunter Jumping Pony; Show Horse; Show Pony; Senior Rider; Junior Rider
Supreme Champion 8 points
Champion 6 points
Reserve Champion 4 points
1st place 3 points
2nd place 2 points
3rd place 1 points
In the event of a tie at the end of the series then a count back system is to be used – the horse with the highest number of Supremes wins, if still tied then the highest number of Champions etc

Hunter Jumping Horses
Points will be awarded in the following classes:
Open Hunter (where horses of all heights compete against each other. If a show doesn’t run an Open hunter with all heights combined then the Open Hunter under 163cm and the Open Hunter over 163cm with count towards points)
Champion Hack Hunter
Reserve Champion Hack Hunter
Hunter Jumping Ponies
Points will be awarded in the following classes:
Open Pony Hunter (where ponies of all heights compete against each other. If a show doesn’t run an Open Hunter with all heights combined then the respective Open Pony Hunter height classes will count towards points)
Champion Pony Hunter
Reserve Champion Pony Hunter

11:30am - 1:30pm
No Pre-registration with RAS required for new measures
FEES: First Measure $40 | Re-measure $25 | Life Measure $100 (prices to be confirmed)
Jumping
Show Jumping Training 10:00am start
Ring 1 - Starting at poles moving up the heights to 80cm
Ring 2 - Starting at 90cm moving up to 1.20m (ish)
Hunter Jumping Training 10:00am start
Jump heights from 60cm to 1.10m - choose what suits you best
All rounds $10 each.
Hunter Jumping - schooling allowed within reason, but please be considerate of other riders.
Hacking
Enjoy riding around the beautiful grounds - all welcome!
Payment & Ground Feeds
Pay by cash or EFTPOS on the day
Gates open 9:00am
GROUND FEE: $15 per horse | $10 for each additional horse
Horse & Pony Show - Saturday 7th November 2026
We offer in hand and ridden showing classes and Hunter jumping at three heights to cater for beginner/green horses and riders.
Our Horse & Pony Show offers a supportive environment with a relaxed atmosphere.
